Washington is the capital city of the United States, located in the District of Columbia. The city has long been a center of political activity in the United States as the site of the White House, the presidential residence, and the Capitol Building, the legislative meeting building. Other notable landmarks in the city include the Smithsonian Institution and the headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Washington, D.C. has also been the site of Cahill activity, and was even named after a Cahill, Tomas George Washington, the first President of the United States.
