Timbuktu, Mali.
Timbuktu, also spelled Timbuctu, is a city located in an African country called Mali. It has a history of having lost gold and treasure. The code on the telescope in the the cover in The Dead of Night said Timbuktu.
In Shatterproof, the Cahills had to steal "The Apology" in Timbuktu for the Vespers.
The Apology was written on a block of salt that Amy and Dan found in an under dig in the middle of a desert near Timbuktu.
