The Book of Ingenious Devices

The Book of Ingenious Devices is an ancient manuscript, written in Persia around 850, describing about a hundred different devices and how to use them, with illustrations. The book was widely circulated in the early Islamic world. A copy of the book was kept in the Pergamon Museum, and was stolen by the Vespers during an attempted theft of the Golden Jubilee Diamond by Amy and Dan Cahill. Though its exact purpose is unknown, the book is likely necessary to construct the machina fini mundi.
