TavernierBlue

A recreation of the Tavernier Blue

The Tavernier Blue was a large blue diamond, discovered in India by Jean-Baptiste Tavernier. The diamond contained a small flaw shaped like the symbol for Zinc, a Tomas Clue which Tavernier, a Tomas, recognized. Tavernier sold the diamond to Lucian King Louis XIV of France for unknown reasons, and the gem was used as one of the French crown jewels. During the French Revolution, Ekaterina operatives stole the Tavernier Blue and cut it down, removing the section with the Clue, and created the Hope Diamond in the process. The fragment containing the Clue symbol was kept by the Ekaterinas and was placed under the guard of Vera and Vladimir Chernov.
