ParisCatacombs

A collection of bones within the Paris Catacombs

The Paris Catacombs are a network of tunnels underneath Paris, France. The catacombs are filled with human bones, which were moved underground in the 1700s as a result of overcrowding in the cemeteries of Paris. Hope Cahill nicknamed the catacombs the "Maze of Bones".

The Catacombs are considered a Lucian stronghold, as a Lucian operative, Benjamin Franklin, hid many secrets in the tunnels. Near a public entrance, Franklin carved numbers into a grid of skulls, creating a magic box, that pointed to the Church of St. Pierre-de-Monmartre. Another entrance to the Catacombs was hidden in the Church, where Franklin hid an inert vial filled with the Lucian Serum and sheet music for the piece KV 617 in a room with a mural depicting the founders of four of the branches of the Cahill family: Luke, Katherine, Thomas, and Jane Cahill.

The Catacombs were one of the first locations visited during the Clue Hunt. Team Seven found Franklin's magic box on the skulls and solved the puzzle. Team Seven also found the secrets under the church first, but Amy Cahill was forced to hand over the Lucian serum to Ian Kabra of Team One to save her brother, Dan.
