Lan is from Melbourne, Australia and her parents are retired Janus agents. Her parents wanted to raise her away from the Clue hunting madness but Lan found out about her family history and became very committed to the Clue Hunt. Hearing about a Clue in India, she left home and traveled thousands of miles to track it down. When Cora Wizard found out about this, she invited Lan to the Hollywood stronghold for training. She is considered one of the most promising young Janus agents out there. Her card is Card 21: Lan Nguyen, from One False Note.
