King Louis XIV of France was a French monarch who ruled during the 17th and 18th centuries. Often called "The Sun King", Louis XIV ruled for over 72 years, longer than any other ruler in European history.
Louis XIV was a member of the Tomas branch of the Cahill family, and purchased the Tavernier Blue from fellow Tomas Jean-Baptiste Tavernier to keep the Clue hidden in the diamond, Zinc, a secret. Louis XIV may also have had ties to the Lucian branch, as Lucian leader Winthrop Alfred Davenport had a painting of the coronation of King Louis XIV in his home.
