Actually, I don't think Worlds Collide counts.
1st-11th: The Clue Hunt 12th-17th: Cahills vs. Vespers 18-21st: Unstoppable 22&23: Doublecross 24-30: Rapid Fire 31: Midnight Ride 32: Black Book 33: Da Handbook 34-39: TCF
I have just read spoilers for Countdown. Apparently someone got the book early, and posted a "summary" of it on Goodreads. Once again, I am not sure if this is true. But I certainly believe it is. I read it and I can tell you this:
SPOILER ALERT (I THINK)
A) They are not just triplets...someone in their family is revealed. And you may be surprised. B) A new character dies... :( C) Remember Fiske punching Nellie in Breakaway? Don't forget about that... D) You know how Piece was suspicious in the Breakaway opening. Don't forget about that... E) A piece of literature has fallen to the enemy
I can admit Breakaway was poorly written. Nowhere to Run boosted up the action a bit, though I do not think it was enough to rebuild the damage done by Day of Doom. I'm expecting Countdown to be good, because the last few chapters of Breakaway have given us a tasty hint of what's to happen in Countdown. It's obvious they are doing Unstoppable just to make money, and I think many of the 2008 fans have stopped reading. I think the deaths of the first series had to happen, because it all lead up to A&D succeeding in Into the Gauntlet. The way Jude killed of McIntyre...since she is an experienced writer, so knew how to twist it so that fans did not feel...offensive. Same thing goes for Linda killing off Alistair. Dan has been saying he'll quit since The Emporers Code, and so far he has not quit. And if Amy dies, Dan would most likely want to avenge his sister's death.--Lucianvesper09 Talk Announcements
Allegiant is part of a trilogy. If the series'/trilogy is short, then there is no problem killing off a character. I think the reason why Veronica killed of Tris is because she did not want to make any sequel to Allegiant (new trilogy?). However, for a series that has come to expand as 3 series', with 21 books, we have been following Amy and Dan since 2008, not 2011. So I do not think Gordon would ruin the series and kill of Amy. Because killing of Amy will let loose a chain of events. Dan and Jake would commit suicide, and then Atticus and Nellie would, since Jake and A&D would be dead. That would not be pretty.--Lucianvesper09 Talk Announcements
